Our practice offers a range of health services including:

NHS Health Checks

All patients aged 40 – 70 years of age are eligible for a free NHS Health Check every 5 years. The check will include lifestyle advice and screening for possible signs of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease or diabetes. If you are aged over 65 you will also be told the signs and symptoms of dementia to look out for.

The check takes between 20 – 30 minutes.

Diabetes Clinics

For patients with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes we run a Diabetes Clinic where your diabetes control will be assessed and you will have the opportunity to discuss with the medical team any problems or questions you may have. 

Cervical Screening

All women aged 25 – 64 are eligible for cervical screening every 3 – 5 years.

Minor Illness

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Practice Nurse are able to diagnose, treat and arrange prescriptions for many minor illnesses without the need for a GP appointment. These include:

• Coughs and colds
• Hay fever
• Sore throats
• Earache
• Skin rashes
• Skin infections
• Urine infections
• Women’s health problems

If you think your problem could be treated by a Practice Nurse, please ask at reception or when you call to book an appointment.

Minor Surgery

We offer minor surgery at the practice.

Practice Nurse Appointments

Appointments can be booked for removal of sutures, dressing of wounds, injections, blood samples etc.
