AccuRx Patient Triage System Now Live
We’re pleased to announce that our AccuRx Patient Triage System is now fully active. You can now submit medical or administrative requests quicky and easily online – at any time – through your smartphone, tablet or computer.
This new system ensures that every request reaches the right member of our team and is handled appropriately within the right timeframe.
How it works
There’s no longer any need to call to request an appointment.
- Submit a Request Online: Simply complete the AccuRx triage form or through the NHS App.
- What you can request: Use the form for both urgent and regular appointment requests, as well as administrative tasks such as fit notes, test results, repeat prescriptions, referral updates or private letters.
- Review by Clinician: All medical requests are reviewed by a clinician to ensure you’re offered the right appointment type, with the most suitable clinician, at the appropriate time.
- Response time: You’ll receive a response – typically by text or email – within two working days. If necessary, we may contact you sooner or by a different method.
Why it’s better
- 24/7 Access: You can submit requests whenever it suits you.
- Fairer Prioritisation: Patients are triaged based on clinical need rather than phone queue position.
- Faster Support: Many issues can be resolved quickly with advice, a prescription, or a referral – often without needing a traditional appointment.
Need help using the system
If you’re unable to access the internet or have difficulty completing forms, our reception team will help you by completing the online form on your behalf.
Please note: this may take longer than submitting your own form, so we encourage patients to use the online option whenever possible.

Setting up an NHS account
To set up your NHS account for the first time, you will need to set up an NHS login. Read about how to set up NHS login (nhs.uk).
Once you have set up your NHS login, you can log in to your NHS account or download the NHS App onto your phone.
Setting up SystmOnline
To set up SystmOnline for the first time:
- visit the surgery with photo ID so we can confirm your identity
- we will give you a username and password
- go to SystmOnline or use the app to register
